MICHAEL CRADDOCK
Owner of Horizon Strength and Conditioning
My first foray into the fitness world was through my father as a kid although I wasn't as into it then. Later in life as a martial artist is where I really dove in, and I started working out to be better at sport. Throughout the process of training, I fell in love with this side of the industry and knew that training others and owning my own gym was something I’d be involved in once the competitive part of my career was over. I still enjoy martial arts to this day but my professional passion for helping others become the best versions of themselves is what drives me now!

I have been in the fitness industry for 10 years and was a competitive athlete for a majority of those 10 years. 5 years ago I was given the opportunity to coach and fell in love with helping people reach their goals and watching athletes hit new PRs. I now hold certifications as a Personal Trainer, Nutrition Coach and Adaptive Special Needs Trainer. When given the chance to coach at my home gym 3 years ago in Visalia I couldn't say no. In each of my classes I give tough love when needed and encourage each member to care more about quality before quantity or weight on the bar. Last year, the owner of a local company in partnership with Horizon, opened a branch of her behavior consulting company called Inclusive Fitness where they provide personal training services to those with develeopmental disabilities. She asked me to join her team and I am now the Clincal Fitness Program Director. I am so grateful to all of these opportunities to share my love of fitness and helping others move their bodies.
